Voice Festival
Guidelines and Registration
Each spring, the Needham Concert Society sponsors student festivals to give piano, string, and voice students an opportunity to perform in front of an audience of family, friends, and others. The recitals, which are free and open to the public, are also designed to foster community among students and their teachers. Student eligibility requirements
- Student or teacher from Needham or a surrounding town (If you’d like to participate but don’t have a teacher, please contact us at needhamconcertsociety@gmail.com.)
- Age 18 or younger
- Permission from instructor
- Repertoire: One solo piece with live accompaniment (NCS can provide an accompanist, if needed; see registration form.)
Classical – Art songs, folk songs, contemporary composers’ songs, age-appropriate arias, operetta (Gilbert and Sullivan)
Musical Theater – Songs from Broadway musicals, movie musicals, Disney - Time limit: 5 minutes
Date: Saturday, May 3, 2025 | 5:00 p.m.
- Performances will be grouped into a program of 1–2 hours in length.
Location: Carter Memorial United Methodist Church, 800 Highland Avenue, Needham MA
Registration fee: $25
Accompanist fee (if needed; see registration form): $15
